This is the third peice commissioned by Kit Kedrick. The two compainion peices are in my gallery- "Charger Griffon" (the first) and "Suprise Attack" (the second). The idea is that the griffon was rampaging and the jaguar warrior went after him. In Suprise Attack the Jaguar Warrior and his allicorn steed launched a daring attack on the rampant gryph, begenning what will become a long, hard battle. They fight on, the Jag's helmet and steed getting ripped asunder untill in the midst of the sunset, the jag and griffon fall from the cliff into the rocks and sea below. The Jag sets the butt of his weapon into the rock and lets the attacking griffon impale itself on the barbed blade. Digging it's talons into the Jag's pauldrons, the beast lets forth a keening cry of agony, for a moment no more harmfull than the stained seafoam far below.. The Jaguar warrior looks upwards half dazed and tasting the blood seeping from his many wounds, feeling both the uncertainty of his success and the weight of his losses.


Anyway, legal mumbo jumbo applies. I may come back and fix a few errors, but I'm way past ready for this painting to be done.
